The public is invited to visit the Armoury for "happy hour" starting at 5 pm. At 6 pm Arthur Slade will arrive and the official launch will begin at 6:30 PM. Arthur Slade will present his audio/visual show about "Megiddo's Shadow." It's set in Palestine during WW1 and is based on the military service of his grandfather, Arthur Hercules Slade, who was a prominent Moose Jaw citizen. Everyone is welcome!

It takes place at the Royal Canadian Legion, Nutana Branch, 3021 Louise Street. The launch will feature a tour of the Legion's museum and an audio/video presentation by Arthur Slade.

Saskatoon author Arthur Slade will be presenting his new book for young adults with a slide show at the store at 7 p.m. On the sweep to Damascus in World War I, a strong sense of duty sends sixteen-year-old Edward Bathe to war in the shadow of the ancient battleground city of Megiddo where, in poignant scenes of confusion and compassion, the hard face of reality lunges up out of the sand.
