>One of the Coolest Pics That I've Received

>Every once in awhile some cool things come your way. ?I recently received this photo from Eric Walters, a fellow writer and a friend of mine. It's a photo of two students in Kenya reading my novel DUST. You just never know where your book is going to end up once you release it to the world.

Eric sent the pic because he has been working tirelessly on a project called Creation of Hope that involves a children's residence in Kikima, Kenya. They recently opened a library there ? named after Eric's grade five teacher. There's a lot more going on than I can describe here and help is always needed, so if you're interested click the link and read all about it.

Cheers,

>New Hunchback Cover

>The third book in The Hunchback Assignments series is called Empire of Ruins. In it Modo, Octavia, Mr. Socrates and a few others are searching through the Australian rainforest for a lost temple that contains an ancient artifact called The God Face.

Here's the Canadian/Australian cover done by Christopher Steininger:

In theory the book will be out in January 2011 in Canada, February in Australia, and September in the US. I say in theory because I'm working on the revisions right now...

Must say I love this cover. Especially Modo's mask.

>The Dark Deeps Covers

>Just a preview of the various covers for The Dark Deeps, the second book in The Hunchback Assignments series. It'll be out in early May in Canada, June in Australia and area, and September in the US of A.

This is the Canadian cover:

Cool, eh? Can't wait to see the real thing, of course.

And here is the Australian/NZ cover (or ANZAC as I like to say).

The cover was done by Christopher Steininger.
And finally the American Cover is right here:

Love it. Very steampunky. By Christian McGrath. Yep, only people with the first name Chris can do my covers. The odd thing is that my U.S. editor looks a lot like the woman with the sword. Which has inspired me not to miss my deadlines....
