"Dear Mr. Slade,
I recently finished your book Dust in my Literature Circle. We all agree that this book was definitley different, in a good way. I understand that you were planning a slight cliff hanger at the end of the book, and we all agree that we would like you to write a sequel. Answering the questions that we had, such as why you chose butterflies, what happened to not only Rober's parents, but the rest of the town. At the end of the book, everything went back to normal, or not. There are so many ideas you could base a sequel on. Robert as an adult, Matthew as an adult explaining and answering unanswered questions.
Thank You,
S. M."

"Dear Mr. Slade,
Recently I read your book entitled Dust. I thought this was a very interesting story. In places I actually thought it was weird. I also have come to understand that you write many different books that were all suspenseful and that you had a very different author's style. I have many unanswered questions such as why butterflies, what did the mirror mean, and what happened to Robert's parents. Were they hypnotized or did they just forget about Matthew. Anyway, I was in a literature circle with some of my classmates and we all thought that it would be really interesting to read a sequal to this book. I know that there are so many ideas that you could write about from the ending of Dust. I would really like to know what happens to the town and what happens to Robert, Matthew, and their family. So, I am sending you this because I think that it would be a great idea to write a sequal to Dust!
Sincerely,
A. B."
