Tori SladeJuly 19, 2003-July 2, 2008I normally wouldn't include my daughter on my web page, since my family life is private, but because Tori was born with Down Syndrome I feel I have to say something about a few of the things Tori taught me in her short time on earth. She taught me to look past the handicap and see the person; that there is no such thing as "normal" and if there was who wants to be "normal" anyway?; and finally she taught me how to sing. Really! I rarely sang aloud until she was born. There are some important links below that provide more information about Down Syndrome.
